Keep On Walkin'

In 1955, a white girl on Staten Island develops a pen-pal relationship with a black girl in Montgomery, Alabama, on the eve of the famous bus boycott. Both girls have to confront their own prejudices and discover their own strength to do the right thing. Keep On Walkin', a family musical, has a cast of two 13-year-old girls, one adult woman, and two men.

A reading of Keep On Walkin' was co-produced by Amas Musical Theatre and The Actors Harbor Theatre, New York, NY, 2009. It was then sent on a tour of New York City schools, directed by Christopher Catt. It was an official selection of the Ronald M. Ruble New Play Festival at the Caryl Crane Youth Theatre Program in Huron, Ohio.

It won the Anna Zornio Children's Theater Playwriting Award, which led to a world premiere production at the University of New Hampshire, February 18-22, 2015. The production was directed by Raina Ames, with musical direction by John Berst, and the following cast:
